From a handwritten recipe by mom, a child’s birth certificate, maybe a wedding invitation, something to celebrate an anniversary or a precious note. Pretty much anything can be turned into a keepsake that can be displayed and treasured by having it laser engraved on wood. I’ll take your photo or scanned image and laser engrave it on a ½ inch thick pine board with a coved edge. Then it will be finished in what ever color you choose from my available options and seal with a gloss polyurethane.

Each engraving comes with a keyhole slot carved into the back so you can easily hang it on a wall as well as a clear acrylic easel, so you have the option to display it on a shelf, mantle or counter.

How this works is you take a good quality photo of what you want engraved. You can also scan the image if you want to, the key to this is that it cannot be blurry and it is completely in focus. What you send to me is what will be engraved so if a word is not clear it will not be clear in the engraving. Note, I can work with images in jpg, bmp, png, tiff, and pdf formats. Also, your engraving will be done horizontally or vertical depending on the image you provide.

Next pick the size and color of your engraving and place your order.

Then send your image to me at MarkleysWoodShop [!at] gmail.com. Please be sure to include your name and Etsy name with your email when you send your image.

If there are lines in your image, such as lines on the paper that your recipe was written on. The lines can be included in the engraving or removed. Most of the time the engraving will look better with the lines removed and unless instructed by you I will remove the lines. If you do want to keep the lines in the engraving, please let me know that in your email when you send me your image.

Once I receive your image, I will review it and if there is an issue or I see a possible problem I will let you know before I begin the engraving. If everything looks good, I will proceed with making your order. All orders take a minimum of 5 days to complete once I have received your order and image but can take a little longer depending on the amount of clean up that may be needed to produce the best possible final engraving.
